Gentle, patient help across Glasgow & Central Scotland for anyone who can no longer manage a clearance on their own. We'll empty a loft, clear a garage, sort a full house — or simply bring things down so you can go through them. No lifting, no climbing, no pressure. Free, no-obligation home visit.
There comes a time when clearing out a loft, a garage or a lifetime's belongings simply isn't safe or possible on your own. Maybe the loft ladder feels too steep now. Maybe lifting and carrying is out of the question. Maybe a much-loved home has become too big, or you've lost a partner and the thought of it all feels overwhelming. Whatever the reason, you don't have to struggle with it alone.
Ceemac has been helping older and less-able people across Glasgow and Central Scotland since 2013. We do all the lifting, carrying and loft work — you won't need to move a thing, or even climb the stairs. We work calmly and patiently, at a pace that suits you, and we treat every customer the way we'd want our own gran or grandad to be treated.

A lot of our calls don't come from the person whose house it is — they come from a worried son or daughter, a grandchild, or a carer. Often from the other end of the country, trying to sort things from afar. If that's you, we make it easy.
We're happy to deal with you directly: discuss what's needed, arrange the visit, send the written quote to you, and keep you updated throughout. And we promise that on the day, we'll be patient, friendly and reassuring with your relative — never rushing them, and never making them feel like a burden.
We never pressure anyone to throw things away. If your mum wants to keep every box, that's fine — we'll just bring it all down for her. If your dad wants to take his time deciding, we'll give him that time. It's their home and their belongings, and we respect that completely.
We help families across Glasgow, Edinburgh and the towns of Lanarkshire including Hamilton, Motherwell and East Kilbride. If a loved one has passed away, our bereavement & executry clearance service handles everything with the same care.

We were recently asked to help an elderly lady whose husband had passed away a few years before. For a long time she'd wanted the loft cleared — it was full of a lifetime's belongings — but with no one to do the lifting and the ladder far too much to manage, it had stayed exactly as it was.
We went up, brought everything down gently, and set it all out where she could reach it. There was no rush and no pressure — she went through things at her own pace, kept what mattered to her, and we quietly took away only what she'd decided to part with.
Afterwards she told us it was "such a big help" — a weight off her mind she'd carried for years. That's exactly why we offer this. Sometimes the kindest thing isn't clearing a house; it's simply doing the part someone can no longer do for themselves.
1. A friendly chat. Call us, or have a relative call on your behalf. We'll listen, answer your questions and arrange a convenient time to pop round.
2. Free home visit. We come and see what's needed — the loft, the garage, a room or the whole house — and agree exactly what you'd like done. No obligation whatsoever.
3. Fixed written quote. One clear price, in writing, before anything happens. No hidden charges, no day rates that creep up.
4. We do the work. Our friendly, uniformed team does all the lifting and carrying, at your pace. We tidy up after ourselves and leave you with one less thing to worry about.

Yes — it's one of the things we're asked for most. We do all the lifting, carrying and loft work so an older or less-able person doesn't have to. You don't need to move a thing or even climb the stairs. We work calmly and patiently, and we treat every customer the way we'd want our own gran or grandad treated.
Absolutely. Plenty of people simply want the loft emptied and the boxes brought down so they can go through them — not necessarily thrown out. We'll bring it all down, set it out where you can reach it, and only take away what you tell us you don't want. It's entirely your decision, and there's no pressure either way.
Of course. A lot of our bookings are made by a son, daughter, grandchild or carer on behalf of an older relative — sometimes from another part of the country. We're happy to discuss everything with you, send the written quote to you, and keep you updated. We'll always be respectful and reassuring with your relative on the day.
Always. We never rush anyone. Letting go of belongings — especially after losing a partner or moving to a smaller home — can be emotional, and we give people the time and space they need. If someone wants to stop, have a cup of tea and a chat, or set certain things aside, that's completely fine.
It depends on how much there is and what you'd like done — a single loft or garage is far less than a full house. We always give a free, fixed written quote after a quick home visit, so there are no surprises. A 1–2 bedroom clearance typically falls between £300 and £600, with larger or fuller properties priced individually.
We cover Glasgow, Edinburgh and all of Central Scotland, including Airdrie, Coatbridge, Motherwell, Hamilton, Bellshill, Wishaw, Cumbernauld and East Kilbride. If you're nearby, just give us a call and we'll let you know.
A free, no-pressure home visit and a fixed written quote. Whether it's the loft, the garage or the whole house — or arranging it for someone you love — we're here to help.
